Mailing Lists

One of the most informative aspects of the Internet are the little known Mailing Lists. These are regular messages e-mailed to you about a particular topic.

Lists are either distributed and managed by special software, or looked after by individuals. Often the automatic lists will require you to send the word "subscribe" in the subject or body of a message.

All the lists on this page are ‘announcement’ lists only: Only the owner can send to members. If you join one of these lists you’ll generally receive an e-mail per week. Unless otherwise stated, the link will take you to a web page where you can join up.

As far as we know, these are all reputable lists and they won’t pass on your e-mail address to other people or organisations.

Of course if you get sick of the e-mail you can just unsubscribe from a list, or put them straight into the trash when you’re feeling busy. If you’d like a gentle introduction join one of the Sustainable Wellington lists!
